Panel Discussion

I rather like this panel discussion and the topic it is on. The independence movements in Africa are an important part of history and should be learned so no one is ignorant on such topics. We learn history in order to learn a lesson that each event presents to us and so we know what has happened and how to make better choices in life so we have a better future. Marginalized voices are an important part of our life lessons because they bring to light the events of history and the parts no one really knows about and enlightens us. That is why I felt the need to choose this piece since it is so important that we bring to light these marginalized voices like how Adichie did in her book Half of a Yellow Sun, which is the book the panel discussion was about.

Wonder Project

I feel rather passionate about the topic of global warming because it is such a fascinating topic and has such a big impact on us. Global warming is such a big thing and I feel as if I should write about it to help inform others about it. This essay can help enlighten people further on what is being done for global warming and during the time I was writing it, I read many articles on global warming furthering my knowledge on this topic. I feel as if no one should be ignorant about global warming so I choose this piece to present.

Plaster Sculpture

I did not do the best that I could have done but I still like it.This year in media we focused more on 3-D art and I liked it much better.I choose this one because it is the first time I have ever made a sculpture like this (I don't think I ever even made any type of sculpture).That fact alone makes me rather proud along with the fact that I didn't make an abomination . 

Wire Sculpture

I really enjoyed making my wire sculpture. I took my time and enjoyed the process of creating it. It was a rather calming experience. I think the end result is rather nice so I decided I wanted to show it off a bit and chose it for my portfolio. It grew rather large though because I took the teacher very seriously when he said it should be the same size as you.It also shows that I have improved from my last project , or so I believe.

Reflection

The work this year was much more difficult than the work we have previously done.It was a nice challenge and through it we were able to improve our skills in various subjects.We continue to push ourselves because we strive to improve and so I am thankful of the work given to me this year.While most students despise work they will one day see the benefits of it.  On a different tone, the art work we did this year was much more enjoyable than it was last year , though it was not bad at all last year.Overall the work we did this year was a bit enjoyable though difficult.
